NAPALM DEATH has contributed a brand new track called “Legacy Was Yesterday” to Decibel magazine’s monthly flexi disc series. The song — the band’s first new material since 2009′s “Time Waits for No Slave” LP — was recorded at Rapture Audio with James Walford and mastered by Russ Russell. Bay Area Thrash metal masters return to Vancouver after their mind blowing performance supporting Soilwork.

Starting as one of the youngest bands to emerge in the metal genre Death Angel have made a name for themselves as one of the most influential Bay Area Thrash Metal bands from the 1980’s. Death Angel became the first band of their breed to appear on the major label Geffen’s roster. While at Geffen, the band released what is widely regarded as one of the most original and accomplished thrash metal albums ever recorded, “Act III.” The record pushed the limits of thrash to create something truly unique, a definitive work that is essential to any metal fan’s music collection. Death Angels latest CD Relentless Retribution, the bands first recording outside of California was released in September and shows how far this band has come in their career even after founding member Andy Galeon quit the band.

2011 will see Death Angel make their appearance at not only 70,000 Tons Of Metal but have the band playing their first US headlining tour of the United States since “ACT III Tour” in 1990. After the headlining tour the band is embarking on a smaller more intimate tour including this exciting stop in Vancouver.
