The highly respected frontman Dres of legendary group Black Sheep will be taking over the Santos Party House.
Saturday, December 5, this masterful lyricist will be bringing down the house performing songs from his highly anticipated EP, The Black Pool of Genius: The Prelude, which is the pre-release for his upcoming full-length album, The Black Pool Of Genius, slated for release Spring 2010. Fresh from touring Europe and the West Coast, Dres delivers the next installment in the Black Sheep discography with an EP that combines thought-provoking lyrics with masterful beats constructed by a corps of new and established beatmakers.
The first single “Forever Luvlee” showcases Dres’ distinct flow whilst delivering a unique smoothness that represents growth and maturity in the production and recording. When asked of the meaning behind the title The Black Pool of Genius, Dres deciphers it as a “deep, vast pool of soul… not always understood… but forever seen and loved… for the light shared is necessary.
