The Birthday Massacre is the kind of band, which you listen to till your CD won’t read anymore and bad sectors appear on your hard drive. They are indeed a niche band with a unique sound, and three killer albums, which are greatly appealing to a wide audience. Experiencing them live doubles the effect and Show and Tell’s purpose is to deliver the wild drive of their performances to your ear-step [sic].
Recorded in Hamburg, Germany in Autumn 2007, Show and Tell is soft of a prelude to a same-titled DVD, which will be their second since Blue in 2005. TBM are from Toronto and are clearly making Canada industrially proud having gained a huge sucess overseas, and doing shows like the one recorded on Show and Tell, especially in a country like Germany. From the sound of it the crowd clearly love them and make no mistake, they probably are the best cyber-metal band here in Canada right now.
Speaking of sound, it’s close to impeccable, the band delivers to the fullest, Chibi is burning hot, everybody enjoys the show. The set-list has all the hits on it and more, this probably was one of the best times to ever see them live. With Rhim and Owen playing live drums and keyboards respectively, The Birthday Massacre show an amazing level of drive, energy and everything that is dear to and industrial-rock heart on Show and Tell and make it a CD well worth buying and listening to, when all others fail in your drives completely.
