CD Review – Rammstein
Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da
Universal Music Group

After taking a break in 2006, Rammstein has begun work on the new album. Each of their releases is traditionally accompanied by assumptions, gossip and a lot of intentional leaks into the press. Warming up the fans to the point of boiling, the legendary Berlin sextet (pun intended) are finally ready to present their new glorious creation: Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da.

Musically Rammstein are headed into the masses, although when you are as popular in Europe as Marilyn Manson in North America, it’s the masses that are heading you into that direction. Going a little lighter than Mutter and Reise, Reise, it’s still a rather catchy album, where you will find nothing ground-breaking new. Not that it’s actually expected at all. As usual, the release carries a marvel, which is the ubiquitous “Pussy”, a song well worth of Rammstein’s legacy.

Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da starts with “Rammleid” and sets a high standard right away, catching up to it pretty fine, especially with tracks like “Waidmanns Heil”, which remind us of the old Rammstein. Some songs do sound like radio edits but that’s the nature of the band: push everything to the limit and then add more kinky stuff, make censors go crazy and probably face imprisonment. And stay mainstream at the same time.

You won’t regret this, but ABORT recommends the Limited Edition Box-Set, fun for the whole family!
