Currently on tour with AIRBOURNE, Toronto’s SOUND AND FURY have broken down the barriers and smashed the stereotypes of the “Canadian” rock sound, and have proved in 2 short years with their own punk/metal driven brand of rock that there’s more to Canada besides Igloos, Maple Syrup and bad bearded college indie rock.

AbortCast # 84: FAKE SHARK, REAL ZOMBIE
June 30th, 2008 Filed under: Made In Canada, Exclusive!, AbortCast: Interview Podcasts by E.S. Day
(Photo-Jordana Meilleur)
On a recent “Mini-Tour ” with NYC’s Mindless Self Indulgence - our hometown heroes Fake Shark, Real, Zombie, decided we would have a sit-down backstage, even after our (former) writer Graham shat all over them in ISSUE 2, which is why they politely pulled a quote from the review for their press page to show what pricks we are . Thanks guys.
But seriously - they have made their rounds worldwide, including a record deal with Vinyl Junkie in Japan, where the band is hugely successful. So much so, that they have their own line of new FSRZ blow up-dolls, that will be available in time for X-Mas. The band also drops a hint of some big name producer that may be on board for the band’s next album slated for a Fall 2008 release.
Citing influences such as Mr Bungle, Bad Brains, and GWAR we couldn’t help but enter the 37th Chamber to hear them talk about dad’s record collections, Mom’s dildo’s and all the while finding time to attend cadets, even with their hectic schedules
Speaking of chambers the band performs with Wu-Tang Clan founder The RZA on at Sledfest in Calgary
LISTEN IN MP3 (and as if it couldn’t get weirder, the file size ended up at 66.6 MB. Fuck me.)
