In a much anticipated book launch and gallery show at the Interurban Gallery in the Downtown East Side of Vancouver, This is East Van saw a community of photographers, and the community who support them show up for a project that has grown beyond what perhaps the organizers ever dreamed possible.

This is east Van #2 offers an unfettered look at East Vancouver, an area notorious for many things, and is able to portray Canada’s poorest neighborhood with the utmost respect and sometimes surreal beauty.
