(NYDailynews.com) – A beef over platinum-selling singer Rihanna sparked a bloody, bottle-throwing melee between her ex-boyfriends Chris Brown and Drake in a Manhattan nightclub, police sources said.

The pre-dawn brawl, involving the two chart-topping stars and their posses, left Brown sporting a nasty gash on his chin around 4 a.m. Thursday inside crowded Club W.I.P. in SoHo.

Brown reportedly took a bottle and a punch to his face from Drake near the end of the birthday celebration for Javon Smith, manager of singer/songwriter Ne-Yo.
